7 Legendary Celebrity Feuds

Who said feuds and wars had to take place on battlegrounds? Our celebrities have done it virtually over social media, with some of them going physical, but either way, it was just as crazy- without the unnecessary bloodshed.  

Over the years, we’ve witnessed some of the biggest celebrity fights ever, and with the way those fights got interesting, we can only wish for more in years to come. The details of the reasons behind some of these feuds are kind of hazy, with some of them being low-key, but hey- the internet always finds out. Hold your hats and fasten your seat belts as we will be diving into the realm of celebrity feuds and their intriguing stories.

CHRISSY TEIGEN VS. ALISON ROMAN

It all started when Roman, a big time food columnist for The New York Times called out Chrissy Teigen in an interview with New Customer on May 7. She heavily criticized Chrissy’s decision to expand her brand with massive product deals- apparently her views didn’t sit well with Teigen and members of the internet. In her own words against Teigen, Roman said “Like What Chrissy Teigen has done is so crazy to me. She had a successful cookbook. And then it was like Boom. Line at Target. Boom, now she has over a million followers where it’s just, like, people running a content farm for her. That horrifies me and it’s not something that I ever want to do. I don’t aspire to do that, but like, who’s laughing now? Because she’s making a ton of fucking money.” This type of criticism is commonplace in the industry, but since Roman targeted a fan favorite, she came under a lot of fire after making those comments. Also, it was perceived as hypocrisy since Roman had partnerships with kitchen brands in the past and has an upcoming deal with the kitchenware company Material. 

Teigen took to twitter to express her disappointment at the terrible comments targeted at her and her brand, especially from someone she looked up to and supported. Her tweets gathered a lot of social media clout, and it led to a series of dragging and name-calling on both sides. Roman, however, sent an apology email to Teigen, and also apologized on Twitter, but the damage had been done. Plus, the internet never forgets.

LIAM AND NOEL GALLAGHER

Oasis was a great Rock band from the 90’s, and everything was going fine, till it didn’t. Liam and Noel Gallagher were two of the musicians that made up Oasis, and despite being brothers, they had a major fallout that led to the end of the band. Noel quit the band on the 28th of August, 2009, but it seems like the issues that led to him quitting had been in existence far before then. It all started on the 29th of September, 1994 during a show in Los Angeles. Band members were hanging out and having fun until Liam began to unleash a series of insults at the other band members, which ended up with him throwing a tambourine at his brother. In annoyance, Noel stormed off and didn’t show up for days. Another altercation ensued during the recording of the second Oasis studio album. Apparently, Liam along with a group of friends disturbed Noel while he was recording, which he responded to by allegedly hitting his brother over the head with a cricket bat. A couple of other incidents in Barcelona, the V Festival, and harsh comments on TV shows led to the final break up which ended with Noel issuing a statement which read “It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.” According to Noel, the fight broke out over a leather jacket. Wild. 

KANYE WEST AND TAYLOR SWIFT

The feud between West and Swift can be regarded to as a pendulum- always coming and going. It started in 2009 when West climbed on stage to interrupt Swift’s speech after winning the award of Best Female Video for her song You Belong With Me. On stage he said, “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!” Swift reportedly stormed off the stage in tears, and that was where it all began. Kanye later apologized for his actions which he described as rude, and one would think it should’ve ended right then and there. But it didn’t, did it? 

Swift found her chance to hit back at West on her hit track “Innocent” with lyrics that went “Thirty two and still growing up now. Who you are is not what you did. You’re still an innocent.” In response to this, West took back his previous apologies and said that he had no regrets over his actions the other day during an interview with the New York Times newspaper.  

Kanye West and Taylor Swift have clashed over one thing or the other since then, and it seems like their feud will go on for ages. 

CARDI B VS. NICKI MINAJ

Rap rivalry took an unusual turn from the everyday male clashes, to a clash between two female rap heavyweights that have taken the world by storm. It got quite physical between both parties with Cardi B coming out with an eye bump, and Nicki Minaj unharmed from an altercation that took place on the first floor balcony of the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party. As you would expect, both rappers took to social media and even some of their songs to throw jabs at one another, but there appears to be no beef between the both of them at the moment. 

VIN DIESEL AND DWAYNE JOHNSON

Cataclysmic is the word that would’ve described a physical clash between these two heavily built movie hit makers, however, they didn’t even raise a finger at each other. According to Dwayne, they simply had “fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity.” Both parties have tried to play down the extent of their beef, but we all know it goes far deeper than that. 

50 CENT AND WENDY WILLIAMS

You might be wondering “Who the f*ck goes against THE 50 Cent?” Well, Wendy Williams did, she wasn’t the first to do it, and she definitely wasn’t the last. It all started when Wendy told the legendary rapper to go get a life after a series of posts from him about child support. Apparently, he set a countdown until the time he’d be free of paying child support, and joked about hosting a child support release party. Anyway, 50 Cent didn’t take her comments lightly, and he went berserk on Instagram by posting an awful picture of Wendy in a bathing suit with captions that highlighted Wendy’s marriage problems and called her a slut. He made a lot of posts about Wendy- not just one, and she probably wished she hadn’t given her 2 cents to the life of someone with 50. 

ORLANDO BLOOM AND JUSTIN BIEBER

Justin Bieber doesn’t seem like one that can throw a punch, or take one to his face, but he did at an Ibiza restaurant in a brawl with Orlando Bloom. According to witnesses, there were a lot of punches flying around, and Justin was the instigator. Witnesses claim that Justin said something to Orlando which got him fired up to throw the first punch, and you know what they say- the rest is history. The footage of the fight was uploaded on social media, meaning everyone with good Wi-Fi enjoyed a celebrity-themed WWE match.
